Helping leaders and teams thrive through neuroscience.
Kristen’s dynamic keynotes are designed to help leaders and teams to understand the mechanics of their brain to engineer change in themselves and others. Kristen provides her audience with practical tools and approaches, to integrate into their work life. Kristen is driven by the impact that neuroscience can have in transforming managers to leaders, technical specialists to influencers and in helping teams to thrive.
I love watching people have insights and ‘aha’ moments and realise, that's how my brain works! If we understand the mechanics of the brain then we can engineer change in ourselves and others. Because, let’s be honest, being a human is complex. Some days it seems pretty easy and we fly through, other days we have challenges, conflicts and it’s hard. And I find that, even more so, in the workplace. It actually really helps people to understand how the brain works and to learn proven strategies for peak mental performance. Or to come back after a stressful moment and be calm for the next interaction. Helping people know how to do that is something that I'm so passionate about.

Understanding the neuroscience of leadership provides valuable insights into how our brains influence decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal interactions. By leveraging this knowledge, leaders can foster environments that enhance creativity, motivation, and collaboration, ultimately driving better outcomes for their teams and organisations.

In today's rapidly evolving landscape, the ability to lead and thrive in change is crucial. This involves not only managing the logistics of change but also supporting individuals through the psychological transition. Effective change leadership ensures that teams remain resilient, adaptable, and engaged, even in the face of uncertainty.

Resilience and wellbeing are foundational to sustained performance and job satisfaction. Leaders who prioritise these aspects within their teams help cultivate a culture where individuals can recover from setbacks, manage stress effectively, and maintain a healthy work-life balance, contributing to long-term organisational success.

Leading high-performing teams requires a delicate balance of vision, communication, and support. By setting clear goals, fostering a culture of accountability, and encouraging continuous development, leaders can inspire their teams to achieve exceptional results while maintaining high levels of engagement and satisfaction.

Emotional and social intelligence are critical skills for effective leadership. Leaders who can empathise, understand social dynamics, and manage their own emotions are better equipped to build strong relationships, navigate conflicts, and inspire trust and loyalty within their teams.

Leading for neuroinclusivity involves recognising and valuing the diverse neurological profiles within a team. By creating inclusive environments that accommodate different ways of thinking, learning, and working, leaders can tap into the full potential of their team members, fostering innovation and enhancing overall team performance.
